Tech 21 Engineering Solutions (Tech21 E.S.) is a long established provider of software and consultancy services to the drilling industry. Our specialist areas are well planning and borehole surveying. Tech 21 E.S. launched COMPASS in 1986 (now offered by the Landmark Group) and PC OILPLAN in 1998.  Our new flagship product is 5D, a directional well planning and survey management system which uses 3D visualisation tools for interactive collision avoidance.

Tech 21 E.S. is owned by its employees, currently 16 people with skills in Mathematics, Surveying, Drilling Engineering and Software Development.

Our vision is to become the world’s leading company for independent consultancy in the field of borehole positioning. We have already established a good reputation with all of the major oil companies and have provided services directly to each of them. Our Founder and Managing Director, Angus Jamieson has been a popular lecturer at both the Shell International Drilling School at the Hague and the Stavanger Drilling School in Norway.
